The one I sent in:

...in my defense, I hadn't been to the grocery in over a week and live alone?

Its either very clean or you just moved in--
Cristin Anneladysorka on October 21st, 2005 09:04 pm (UTC)
Heh - I've lived there for over a year. I just usually only buy enough food for a week, since it's just me and I don't want to toss too much out.

What's the thing on top -- not the applesauce, the green thing?
Cristin Anneladysorka on October 21st, 2005 09:03 pm (UTC)
A box of Laughing Cow spreadable cheese.
:☆:geek:☆:geekers on October 21st, 2005 09:08 pm (UTC)
I can't say I'm familiar with it... I'm from Wisconsin, our fridge nearly always contains a selection of brick cheeses (and/or others). ;}
Cristin Anneladysorka on October 21st, 2005 09:16 pm (UTC)
I grew up in Wisconsin, actually, and Mom always had some laughing cow in the frige, next to all the good brick cheeses. *g* It's a low-cal swiss spread, it's actually quite nice.

/me nods

Yeah, I wasn't trying to say it didn't exist here, but it is definitely something I'm not familiar with. Hello from WI! :}

A fellow Wisconsinite! I'm in Kenosha. And I have a brick of mild cheddar in my fridge even as we speak. ;)

:} I can't recall what is currently in the fridge, but I'm pretty sure there are at least three varieties of cheese in there at the moment.

I'm in Waukesha -- grew up in Manitowoc.

*blink* *blink*

Were you close to me I'd have to buy you dinner.

...

WAHOO! Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce! I love that stuff too. Though I doctor it to hell. Still a damned good base.
Cristin Anneladysorka on October 21st, 2005 09:22 pm (UTC)
It's not usually this bad, really! *g* Since I live alone, I try to plan so that I won't have anything that I won't eat within the week, so that there's nothing I'm tossing out.

I just hadn't had time to go the grocery quite in line with my usual schedule that week.

And, yes, Sweet Baby Ray's is the best BBQ base. I do admit that I sometimes use it straight when I'm being lazy, though. *g*

*giggles*

Condiments!

Laughing Cow rules though.

Oh, goodness, that's just so sad.

It looks so lonely somehow.
Galiana de Baiona: altongaliana_db on October 21st, 2005 09:12 pm (UTC)
It does look lonely, yes.
Cristin Anneladysorka on October 21st, 2005 09:18 pm (UTC)
I ate the last of the leftovers for breakfast that morning, and went to the grocery to pick up more food that evening - I just happened to catch it in that inbetween time.

It's not usually that bad, really. *g*
Galiana de Baionagaliana_db on October 21st, 2005 09:11 pm (UTC)
Sweet Baby Ray's is awesome sauce. I like the honey kind, though on occasion I'll use the spicy if I'm doing something really bland like brisket.

I also share your love for Mott's applesauce, especially the cinnamon kind.

You do need some food though. And alcohol. Every single chick's fridge needs alcohol. Mine has 6 Newcastle Brown Ales just hanging out. It's pretty decent stuff for a beer (I normally detest beer) and I figure it's a tribute to Alton. You know, BROWN ale? *grin*

By the way, I think we have the same model fridge. Scary stuff.
Cristin Anneladysorka on October 21st, 2005 09:26 pm (UTC)
Well, there is some tequila in the unseen pantry. *g* I'm not much of a beer drinker, so it's usually only there when somebody's coming over who I know'll want some.

And my favourite's the homestyle chunky cinnamon. *nods*

Wow, this picture makes me feel better. (: I also live alone, so my fridge looks a lot like yours.
AlannahJoy's Leppardmania: AltonBrownalannahjoy on October 21st, 2005 10:14 pm (UTC)
Ack! I live alone, too, but my fridge looks like I'm feeding a family of five. :P

Hurray for Sweet Baby Ray's! 2 bottles of it (regular and honey) are visible in the pic I just posted. :)
